The potential is for the restrictor mechanism to fail somewhere below 600N of pressure and the window sash to open further than 100mm leading to a risk of falling out of the window. During testing, the restrictive hinge gave way on some occasions between 600N and 150N. This product does not comply with the relevant standard BS 6375 and BS 8213.
