What is the danger

The product poses a risk of electric shock and burns because: - the plug has no fuse contrary to requirements and therefore overheating in an overload or fault condition is likely; - internal connections are not permanent and non-rewirable plug can be separated with a general purpose tool; - it is possible to change the lamp whilst the nightlight is plugged into a socket; - the nightlight shade is shaped in a way likely to be used as a toy by children; - the nightlight is likely to be plugged into a low level socket making access easy for children to the hot lamp and therefore a burn hazard is evident. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
