What is the danger
The product poses a risk of fire because: - the distance between the protective contacts was too small in four of the five test samples, - in the thermal test, the socket plate caught fire and the temperature of the contacts rose by more than 150K, - in the heat-resistance test, the socket cover became distorted so that it could no longer provide protection against spray and the socket would cease to be suitable for use out of doors.
