What is the danger

The rubber of the balloon releases an excessive amount of N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosable (measured values: 0.072 mg/kg and 2.92 mg/kg respectively). These substances may cause cancer through ingestion or dermal exposure. A child could be exposed to it when touching or putting the product in the mouth.

Requirements breached

The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-12.
