What is the danger
The black plastic material on the cable of the product contains short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) with measured value up to 0.4% by weight. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment.
Requirements breached
The product doesn't comply with the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).
