What is the danger
The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead. (measured value up to 0.9 % by weight). The plastic material in the product has an excessive concentration of bis(pentabromophenyl) ether (DecaBDE) (measured value up to 0.13 % by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. DecaBDE might cause neurodevelopmental behavioural defects and is very persistent and bio-accumulative, posing a risk to human health and the environment.
