The product poses a risk of choking because the sticker on the back of the hamster can easily detach and be swallowed by small children causing internal airway obstruction. The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

- Notification A12/0684/14 from week 19 of 2014, has been temporarily removed awaiting a new risk assessment by the notifying authorities. - The risk description of the notification A12/0819/14, published on the weekly Report no. 23/2014 has been modified after additional clarifications by the notifying authorities. - Upon request of the notifying authorities, further specifications have been added to the notification A12/0039/14 published on the RAPEX report n. 2 of 17/01/2014 to inform that it does not cover products placed on the market after 1 November, 2013 - After a revision of the risk assessment by the notifying authority, the products notified under A11/0064/14 and A11/0065/14 are now considered to pose a serious risk to consumers. The legal basis for the notifications have changed and the products are consequently notified under A12/1203/14 (Weekly report no.29/2014) and A12/1204/14 (Weekly report no. 21/2014), respectively.
