The product poses a chemical risk because its mouthpiece contains di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) above the permitted level (measured value up to 3.1% by weight) and di-‘isononyl’ phthalate (DINP) (measured values: 42.9 % by weight ). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
