What is the danger

The hairdryer does not have a thermal cut-out device. The plastic material of the casing is combustible. The mains cable is not properly anchored.

Requirements breached

The hair dryer can overheat and catch fire. Melted plastic can cause burns and leave live parts accessible. The mains cable could detach leaving the live conductors accessible. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
