What is the danger

The basic insulated cable could detach or be damaged leaving the live conductors accessible. Water penetration is possible as the product is not protected against moisture. As a consequence, users could receive an electric shock.

Requirements breached

The cable is also too thin and not properly anchored. During normal use it could overheat, leading to a fire. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
