What is the danger
The hoverboard's charging circuit has no cut-off switch. The battery can consequently overcharge and overheat which could lead to a fire.
Requirements breached
In addition, the plastic housing of the hoverboard can easily catch fire. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European Standards EN 60335-1 and EN 62133-2.
