What is the danger

Due to software fault, the centre console switch pack could suffer loss of specific Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnected Network (LIN)-based functions. This could result in loss of illumination and loss of operations of certain functions of the centre console.

Requirements breached

If the functions fail, the hazard warning lights and defrost demist functionality of the vehicle will be inoperable, increasing the risk of an accident.
