What is the danger
The product contains an excessive amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) (measured total value: 17.9 mg/kg) and benzo[a]pyrene (measured value: 160 µg/kg).
Requirements breached
These PAHs may cause cancer and are also mutagenic and toxic for reproduction. The product does not comply with the recommendations of the Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008)1 on levels of impurities of PAHs in tattoo inks and the relevant national Law.

The brand name in notification A12/1393/19 of report 2019-39 has been corrected at the request of the notifying authority. Notification A12/1451/19 has temporarily been unpublished from web report 2019-40 at the request of the notifying authority due to an ongoing investigation. The category in notifications A12/1638/19 and A12/1641/19 has been changed from "Cosmetics" into "Chemical Products" after agreement with notifying authority. An additional distributor and the related voluntary measures have been added to A12/1641/19 on request of the notifying authority. In agreement with the notifying authority the products in notifications A12/16438/19 and A12/1641/19 have been changed to product not of professional use.
