What is the danger

The product poses a risk for the environment because the plastic wallet contains 0.24 % short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs).

Requirements breached

The placing on the market and use of articles containing SCCPs is banned. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. The product does not comply with the Commission Regulation 850/2004 on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).
