The product poses a chemical risk because it contains 90.2% methyl metacrylate (MMA). In its "Health assessment of nail modelling cosmetics containing methyl metacrylate" of 22 December 2011, the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR, Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) considers methyl metacrylate present in concentrations of 80-90 % in the nail modelling cosmetics to be harmful to health due to the high sensitizing potential, which can also cause ongoing damage to nails.
