Requirements breached
The product poses a risk of electric shock because: · The mains supply cable is insulated with PVC instead of the standard polychloroprene. Due to aging, environmental, mechanical, chemical or thermal effects the cable insulation is therefore not sufficiently resistant and can become damaged resulting in live parts of the cable becoming accessible. · The mains supply cable does not have a cord anchorage and therefore is not protected against pulling and twisting which could cause the live cable ends to become accessible. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
