The solders in the flashlight have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 19.1% by weight). The casing lid to the camping lantern has an excessive concentration of brominated flame retardants (PBDE) (measured value up to 0.18% by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. PBDE might cause neurodevelopmental behavioural defects and is very persistent and bio-accumulative, posing a risk for the environment and human health.
