The product poses a chemical risk because it contains 13.5% by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). In addition it contains traces of dibutyl phthalate (DBP). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.

Notification 1786/10 from week 48 of 2010 has been permanently removed following further information received from the notifying country. Notification 0051/12 from week 3 of 2012 has been permanently withdrawn from the RAPEX website following a clarification of the risk.
